Chiropractic Care for a Healthier Life

Dr. Ness and Dr. Weigel believe that the elimination of symptoms is the easiest part of a chiropractic care plan. “If all that we do is reduce the pain and stop there, the chances of the condition recurring are very high,” states Dr. Weigel.

In order to prevent a rapid recurrence of symptoms, it is necessary to continue receiving care after your first chiropractic adjustment, in a rehab/corrective phase, and then a maintenance phase, even though your symptoms may be under control.

During the correction/rehab phase of your care, you will not need to receive adjustments as often as you did during the first phase of care and, depending on your particular circumstances, you may begin doing exercises and stretches at home to help accelerate your healing. After the rehab phase, the chiropractic care plan continues with the maintenance phase, in which periodic checkups are recommended to make sure the spine is functioning properly. This is the goal of all treatment plans at our family chiropractic center.

Our goal at Active Life is wellness…to get people well and to keep them feeling well!

Your First Visit to Our Practice

Our new patient forms (below) can be completed in the convenience of your own home. New patients often remark how “homey” the practice feels.

Make Yourself at Home

You’ll find plenty of parking and a well-lit parking lot. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter the office and given a short tour.

If you’ve already completed your admitting paperwork, great! If not, after doing so you’ll have a consultation with a doctor.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if Chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Your Second Visit

On your second visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you, and what to expect from your first chiropractic adjustment.

After we study your health history and correlate our examination findings, we’ll make recommendations designed to help you get and keep your health. We call this the Report of Findings.

This may done be later the same day or the following. This two-visit approach accomplishes several things:

  • Reduces the length of your first visit

  • Gives us time to correlate our findings

  • Avoids overloading you with too much information

In certain situations, and in the professional judgment of our chiropractors, we sometimes make exceptions. It just depends on your unique situation.

Regular Visits

After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.

In a word: no. A typical office visit may require just 5 to 10 minutes.

But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up the condition of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way.

Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit to our family chiropractic center builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and you can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes.

We recognize your time is valuable. So we do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life.
